We drove to Bretagne with friends from Paris and it was so much fun to catch up with childhood friends. We arrived in Combourg just in time for dinner. We enjoyed a nice meal in our hotel.
We stayed in a hotel beside the Castle of the village of Combourg. This castle was home to Chateaubriand who is considered the leader of the Romantic literary movement. I found it really interesting because I actually studied some of his books in high-school and to think that he wrote most of his famous stories in this town. One of the reason why I love visiting Europe because there’s always something historical to discover.
The other side of our hotel was the Lake of the town.
The newlyweds day before the wedding.
The owners of the hotel bought the building where the Gendarmerie Nationale’s office used to be and they kept the sign.
Photo-op with friends by the garden of the hotel.
The morning before the wedding we had time to enjoy coffee and pastries in town.
Signing off this post with our last meal in Bretagne! Crepes and Rose-Cider.
