Last August 4, a friend of mine and I joined a scrapbook event that happens every year. This event is organized by ladies who enjoy this hobby and most of them do this professionally.
There’s a one time fee for the event. This includes: a lootbag, lunch and merienda, raffle prizes, access to a garage sale of crafts and a scrapbook buffet.
I arrive thinking my small box with pens, paint and few papers and stickers would be too big to bring until we opened the door and entered the room. Many of these women had carry-ons with their gear, different sizes of paper cutter, mat boards, etc. We didn’t know that there are bags that are set up like make-up kits with drawers and different pockets. We really are small time compared to these old-timers.
Ladies were practically giving away their stock of papers, stamps, stickers. Most of them were unused products. My friend and I really enjoyed the shopping part of this event.
Who doesn’t like paper?!? We just couldn’t decide on what to buy. We just kept on going “Wow! Look at this!” “And this” “So pretty” “So cute”
This is what we bought and shared. (will post what I make with these pretty papers)
These cutout pieces were available at the scrapbook buffet that we could get and use for our projects. There were gadgets you could use as well. Such as punchers, a Cuttlebug which is as Die-Cut and Paper Embosser and a computerized die-cut machine.
I didn’t get to work on an big project because I was in awe with the things the other women designed and the papers we had just bought.
I can’t wait for the next event!!
